Fabulous news about Ruth & Card appeal

Morning All and what a beautiful morning it is, very cold but blue sky and sunshine.

I have some fabulous, fantastic, awesome news about Ruth.  She has been told that an American Surgeon who is at Leeds Infirmary will do her operation for her - RIGHT here in the UK.  Isn't that just amazing!  She has to have scans etc to make sure the cancer has gone no further (she has been really sick having her chemo but hopefully it's holding it all back).  She is due to go up to Leeds on the 2nd of March.   The money we raised via our appeal will either go to her medical expenses or to the charities that she is supporting - where ever it ends up being used it will be put to good use and won't be wasted.  This is a major step forward for Ruth - although completely life changing it will hopefully give her the time she needs to see Brandon grow up and beyond.

I am launching a card appeal for her and Brandon.  They will be separated for quite a while and it is the first time they will have been away from each other for any length of time.  Whilst Brandon can go up and visit he can't stay and will remain back at home being cared for by Ruth's boyfriend

The idea of the card appeal is to get you lovely ladies to spread the word and send either a card to Ruth or to Brandon to say hi, good luck, get well or anything else you would like to say.  It would be great if you could spread the word too - I know how much publicity we got last time through you all mentioning in on your blogs, face book and twitter.  They could both really do with your support.
If at all possible I would like Brandon to receive cards from other children so if you are sending a card to him can you get your children to send him a message, draw him a picture or say hi on your card.

Ruth should be up at Leeds Infirmary on the 2nd of March (it is also her birthday on the 1st of March - her and Brandon are going to have a quiet day together).  This really is terrifying for them both and if we can send up some cards I am sure it will add to her courage and strength.

If you are part of a challenge blog or design team perhaps you could have a challenge for Ruth?  Maybe if you run card classes you could get your ladies to send a card?
EVERY card will be so gratefully received.

We aren't setting ourselves a number BUT we would really like to keep a tally so if you do send a card, please can you mention it on your blog and encourage your friends and if you can get them to come over to my blog and leave a comment on the posting so we can keep a tally (it's more important to send them card than leave the comment obviously).

So here is the address to send cards to either Ruth or Brandon
they will be delivered to her within 24 hours.
Watermatic Ltd ....C/O Ruthie unit 6c Ivorys Business Centre,
Harper Lane, Radlett , Herts , WD7 7HU
If you could mention in your card that it is coming via the SU appeal that would be great too.

LADIES AND GENTS WE PULLED OUT ALL THE STOPS BEFORE AND HAD A GREAT RESPONSE - LETS SEE IF WE CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE - IT'S ONLY THE COST OF STAMP.

THANKS KAREN X X X
THIS POST WILL STAY AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG FOR A WHILE.
