Not a stitch put in the blouse

All the best laid plans and all that.....

Sunday was supposed to be the day that I tackled the blouse, instead we headed to Shaftesbury for a walk with the dog and a coffee at the Grosvenor which is dog friendly, before heading back and cleaning the car.  In the afternoon we took Barney out for another walk and then settled down to put in the planning application for the orangery and boot room.  You can do it all on line with a bit of effort so armed with the scanner/printer and computer we did it between us and sent it off.  It will be a couple of months before we hear if we have the permission.

I cooked a steak dinner for Phillip (not that we celebrate Valentine's Day) and headed off up stairs.  I marked up all material with the pattern markings, boy was there a lot of them and then started to pin it together ready for the fabric fitting stage.  I just have the sleeves to pin together and add to the arm hole and then we can see how it looks on.

So not quite where I hoped it would be but at snails pace I have made some progress.

  1. Sounds as if you had a wonderful day. Slow and steady wins the race - you'll get there with the blouse. Good luck with your planning application.

  2. Sewing seems like it is so much work to me. You do make it sound fun. But it still seems like a lot of work.

It does sound as if you had a wonderful day
